Schubert System Elektronik has developed a multitouch panel PC under its Prime Cube® product brand for a customer project that meets the demanding IP69 protection rating.Designed specifically for hygiene-sensitive environments, the system is ideally suited for applications in the food processing industry.
Built for the Highest Hygiene Standards
To achieve IP69 protection, the enclosure must be completely sealed, allowing it to withstand high-pressure and steam cleaning without compromising reliability. In hygiene-critical applications, however, a high protection rating alone is not enough. The housing must also be designed to prevent the accumulation of product residues and contaminants while enabling fast and thorough cleaning.
The panel PC features antibacterial, easy-to-clean surfaces and a seamless enclosure design without dirt traps or sharp edges. Its stainless steel housing fully complies with the strict hygiene requirements of the food industry. An additional shatterproof safety film on the front protects food products by preventing glass fragments from contaminating the production environment in the unlikely event of glass breakage.

The hygienic panel PC is powered by a 6th generation Intel® Core™ i5 (Skylake) processor, delivering the computing performance required for demanding industrial applications while ensuring long-term availability. High-quality industrial-grade components provide exceptional robustness and a long service life.
To maximize reliability, the system is designed without any mechanically moving parts. A passive cooling concept dissipates heat efficiently through the stainless steel enclosure, eliminating the need for fans and reducing maintenance requirements.
Flexible Installation
For easy integration into a wide range of production environments, the panel PC is equipped with a VESA mounting interface as well as compatibility with the Rittal support arm system, enabling flexible and ergonomic installation.
